In this regard, an endocrinologist recommends using vinegar only and exclusively in small quantities as a common seasoning.
Despite frequent advice on the use of vinegar for many diseases, such a food condiment can cause serious harm to health. This was reported by endocrinologist Zuhra Pavlova on her Telegram channel.
The doctor noted that vinegar is an important participant in many processes, but the body never lacks this acid because it synthesizes it. In this regard, the expert recommends using vinegar only in small quantities as a seasoning.
“For example, vinegar is contraindicated in peptic ulcer disease, as it can lead to serious consequences up to stomach bleeding. In general, in case of impaired function of the gastrointestinal tract, liver and kidney damage, vinegar dishes should be avoided,” Pavlova said.
The doctor noted that there are no absolutely safe daily vinegar consumption limits, and advised using no more than a teaspoon in salads several times a week.
