Annis Red Currant Jam

The perfect annis red currant jam recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 kg Red currants pulled off
  • 500 g Preserving sugar 2: 1
  • 1 packet Citric acid
  • Vanilla pulp
  1. Rinse clean jars with twist-off lids® with hot water and allow to drain on a clean kitchen towel.
  1. Wash the currants, drain them, remove the stems and weigh 1 kg. Mix the currants and citric acid in a saucepan with the preserving sugar.
  1. Bring everything to a boil over high heat while stirring. Puree and then simmer for at least 3 minutes, stirring constantly. If necessary, stir in vanilla pulp. Remove from the hob. If necessary, skim and fill the prepared glasses immediately to the brim. Close with the twist-off lids®, turn over and let stand on the lid for approx. 5 minutes. Let cool down completely.
