Apple Snails

  • 30 g Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 packet Dry yeast or 1/2 cube of fresh yeast
  • 1 tablespoon Natural yoghurt
  • 70 g Soft butter
  • 1 Teaspoon (level) Baking powder
  • 300 g Flour
  • 1,5 Apples
  • Vanilla sugar
  • Liquid butter
  • Cinnamon and sugar mixture
  • Lemon juice
  1. Mix the milk, sugar and yeast until the yeast dissolves, cover and let stand for 5 minutes. Put the other ingredients in a mixing bowl, then add the yeast mixture and knead everything well. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
  2. Peel and core the apples, cut into small cubes and drizzle with a good squeeze of lemon, mix together and set aside, covered. After the dough has risen, preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
  3. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread thinly with butter, spread the apple pieces on top and sprinkle with a little vanilla sugar.
  4. From the broad side, roll up the dough, cut into 2cm wide strips and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Put in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes. It made 13 particles.
  5. As soon as the snails are ready, brush with a little liquid butter and sprinkle with a cinnamon-sugar mixture or dip in it for a short time. Then just enjoy!
