Are There Any “Superfoods” That Can Strengthen the Immune System – The Answer of Scientists

A team of British scientists has completed research on whether there are “superfoods” that can help organisms fight infections effectively.

There are a certain number of “superfoods” that strengthen the immune system. This is reported by the radio station “Moscow Says” with reference to a study conducted by experts from the National Health Service of Great Britain.

According to them, citrus fruits, broccoli, garlic, ginger, and chicken meat help fight infections effectively. The rating was topped by citrus fruits, followed by broccoli, which contains vitamins A, C, and E, as well as fiber and antioxidants. Garlic, which is third on the list, helps reduce the risk of catching a cold or alleviate the course of the disease, the experts added.

Prior to that, nutritionist Olga Lushnikova gave recommendations to people on how to eat to boost the body’s immunity. According to her, no food or vitamin alone can affect the immune system. This requires a balanced and rational diet with the intake of all vitamins and macronutrients.
