Gluten-free baguette: these are the ingredients

If you suffer from celiac disease, i.e. gluten intolerance, you have to replace normal flour with a gluten-free version.

  • For our recipe, you use 500g gluten-free universal flour. With this quantity, you bake three baguettes.
  • You also need 300ml of lukewarm water.
  • Also set up a packet of dry yeast, a tablespoon of olive oil as well as a teaspoon of salt.

Gluten-free baguette – that’s how it works

Once you have weighed and measured the ingredients, the dough is ready in no time.

  • Put all the ingredients in a large bowl and use the dough hook to knead into a smooth dough.
  • Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for half an hour.
  • Divide the dough into three equal parts and form your baguettes out of them. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Tip: fold the parchment paper to create indentations. This keeps the baguette in shape.
  • Let the shaped baguettes rise for another half hour and then cut the top of the bread diagonally.
  • Then bake the bread in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 20 minutes.
  • Tip: Place a fireproof bowl with some water in the oven. This makes the baguette crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
