Against Sore Throats and Rust on Plumbing: Where and How to Use Baking Soda

Baking soda is an all-purpose remedy that can be added not only to baked goods but also used to clean the apartment. In addition, baking soda is excellent for sore throats.

Baking soda – why is it useful?

Baking soda can help both in the preparation of culinary dishes, as well as in cleaning various impurities.

Also, baking soda neutralizes excess stomach acid, which helps to normalize the acid-alkaline balance in the body, purify the body, and remove toxins. But you should remember that taking the soda solution is contraindicated in case of stomach and 12 duodenal ulcers, diabetes, gastrointestinal and kidney diseases, pregnancy, and lactation.

If you have a sore throat – you can rinse it with baking soda solution, as it has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties.

What Baking Soda Dissolves – Fighting Rust

Baking soda is able to dissolve organic compounds such as dirt and grease. Therefore, if you run out of dishwashing detergent – you can use this white powder. You will also be able to clean the plumbing – no scratches will be left on the surface.

You can also use baking soda to clean rust on metal. To do this, a thick solution should be applied to products with light corrosion, mixing baking soda with water, and leaving for half an hour. After – wipe with a damp cloth. To remove more severe rust after you can use an aluminum dish scraper (if not – replace it with foil) and thoroughly clean the object. However, it is worth bearing in mind that after such a “hard” cleaning, the metal should be treated with protective agents, because the structure of its surface will be disturbed.

Can you wash a car with baking soda – the answer is named

Soda can also help with car washing. For example, a strong solution and a toothbrush are great options to clean battery terminals.

Baking soda can also help remove small pockets of rust. You will need the same sodium bicarbonate solution and a toothbrush or rag. You can also pretreat the corrosion area with vinegar, and then apply it.

Soda does not affect rubber badly, so its solution can wash dirty car tires. To get a thick paste, you need to mix it with water in proportions of one to one, apply it to the rubber, and then rinse. They will not become perfectly black, but they will look almost like new.

And thanks to the ability of baking soda to absorb moisture, it will help to get rid of fogging of windows in the car in winter. To do this, it is enough to place a bag with this substance in the cabin. Moreover, it will also get rid of unpleasant odors!
