BCM Diet: What Are The Benefits Of The Shake Diet?

Our editor and photographer Jens Wehde took on completely new challenges and went on a week on ready-made diet from BCM. The sufferings of young W. are nothing compared to this.

Motivation: “Getting started was quite easy due to the short preparation time, then the soups from BCM were a real challenge to the taste buds. I always had to force myself to drink. In the end, I failed because of the taste. Diets are mostly done by women – it’s unbelievable what they put themselves through …”

Field report: No breakfast today – too little time. Then the quick preparation of my shake meal from BCM comes just right. On the second day, however, after the last measuring cup is the end of the friendly attitude. Only the chocolate shake on the third day is reconciliatory.

At noon, the extraterrestrial food substitute porridge may be replaced by a humanoid vegetable dish – cosmically good. In between, I try a BCM muesli bar and quickly put it aside after biting into it. Evening: felt Alcatraz solitary confinement, basement level – a bowl of food is pushed into the desolation, basic broccoli type food. In addition a fresh water.

The following days fluctuate between delicious BCM candy bars and vanilla shakes and unbearable BCM vegetable soups and useless broth. On the evening of the sixth day, I therefore like to say: Game over!

Result:+ minus 1.1 kilos through the BCM diet, after all. But I prefer to put on the jogging shoes and escape this attempt.
– Tormenting can be more beautiful: I never want to be bothered by these BCM products again.

The BCM diet program

BCM stands for Body Cell Mass, which in simple terms corresponds to the muscle mass of the body that should be maintained despite dieting. The principle is based on only three meals a day. This allows the insulin level to drop completely during the meal breaks. Two meals consist of BCM basic food (soups, shakes, bars), one can be self-prepared. The program is divided into three phases: the start phase, the weight loss phase and the maintenance phase. We tested: the BCM starter package for 2.5 weeks at a price of 110.75 euros.

Suitable for: People who want to cook for themselves at least once a day.
