Lose weight without giving up anything? Sounds like a dream at first, but it becomes reality with the Dutch diet. This is how healthy and balanced the Dutch eat.
There are many diets that work. But the problem with most of them is that they require a lot of discipline: You need a lot of discipline to follow them through – especially if you suddenly have to eliminate delicious things from your menu.
The Dutch diet offers a delicious and easy to implement alternative.
The Dutch show the way
If you think outside the box, you’ll see that the Dutch eat an extremely balanced diet, far removed from ontbijt (sweet breakfasts with chocolate sprinkles, buttered bread & co.), stroopwafels (syrup waffles) and pindakaas (salty peanut butter). Top model Romee Strijd, presenter Sylvie Meis and Hollywood beauty Famke Janssen are the best examples.
The Dutch Diet: Get slim without having to give up anything
The best first: In the Dutch diet, all food groups are allowed. The main thing is to rely on unprocessed products to provide your body with vitamins, minerals, trace elements and fiber.
In concrete terms, this means that whole grains, fruits, vegetables, legumes, fish, nuts and dairy products such as yogurt and cottage cheese should end up on your plate.
Alcohol, highly processed and salty foods, as well as sugary drinks and sweets are okay now and then, so you don’t fall into the abandonment trap. The motto here is: rarely and without a guilty conscience.
Sport is also essential for the Dutch diet
We probably don’t need to emphasize it, but we’ll do it at this point anyway: The Dutch diet also achieves better results if you exercise as well. Just get on your bike more often – as is customary in the Netherlands.
