Gut Detox: How To Detoxify Your Body In 15 Days

Your body is acting up, but you don’t know what to do about it? A 15-day detox cure can help.

The human body detoxifies around the clock. However, you can make this important job easier for it by adding fewer toxins to it.

For this reason, it is advisable to give the detoxification mechanisms a break to support them in their tasks. A colon cleanses with Glauber’s salt and a subsequent detox cure are then just the right thing to do.

Do not eat breakfast on this day, but drink only tea or still water. From the first day of the detox, you will not use honey, sweeteners, and sugar in your tea.

On the first day, you will cleanse your intestines with Glauber’s salt, which you can get at the pharmacy. Prepare it according to the instructions and drink it quickly and completely. Now you have to wait and see.

Your intestines will report within an hour and the bowel emptying will begin. Be sure to drink enough (still water or unsweetened tea) in between to flush your body well.

It will take a few hours to completely empty your bowels.

Rest in between to take care of your circulation. On the first day, there is only water and tea. Food will be completely avoided. If you experience circulatory problems, add a teaspoon of honey to your tea.

Day 2: Smoothies and broths are on the menu

Start the day with a cup of green tea. This one stands out for its detox properties.
Take your time.

If you have to go to work, set your alarm 30 minutes earlier so you start the day right. Because from the second day, smoothies and broths will replace your meals.

For breakfast, have a light smoothie. You should prepare it yourself. Use fresh ingredients of organic quality and buy different ingredients for each day, if possible, to cover all vitamins, fats, and trace elements.

For breakfast, you can prepare a sweet smoothie with berries, beet, apple, and almond milk. It will refresh you and give you energy for the morning.

For lunch, it can be strong in taste. Spinach, celery, parsley, and fresh broccoli bring fiber, iron, vitamins, and trace elements in high concentration. Add still water to make it more liquid. This makes it easier to drink.

In the evening you can prepare a broth from vegetables, or optionally beef bones. A beef broth has especially beneficial properties for your skin and joints, as it supports your collagen formation. Here, too, do not use salt and pepper and cook the broth yourself.

Day 3: Fat joins in

Now, step by step, it’s allowed to get a little richer. Be creative with your smoothies and find out what you like.

Starting on day three, you can add a tablespoon of flax oil, walnut oil, or poppy seed oil to your breakfast smoothie.

This will give you valuable omega-3 fatty acids, which you need for focus, skin renewal, and as a woman, a cramp-free period week.

In your lunch smoothie, you can find half an avocado on this day of the detox cure, as well as the broth from the previous evening. In the evening, you’ll have broth.

Day 4: Increase your fat consumption

Fat makes you happy! From the fourth day you increase your fat consumption. Fats keep you satiated for a long time and stabilize your insulin level.

A pleasant side effect: they prevent you from getting “hangry” and provide your body with valuable energy during the detoxification cure.

In your breakfast smoothie today you can add a teaspoon of coconut oil and a teaspoon of tahini. Together with berries and a banana, this smoothie is a real breakfast dream.

If you had half an avocado left over the day before, it goes into your lunch smoothie today as well. You can add a spoonful of hummus and veggies of your choice.

By the way, you can add vegetables raw, because most vegetables don’t need to be cooked at all, we just got into the habit of doing that. In the evening we have broth.

Day 5-15: Your body regenerates

From day 5, you continue as you did on day four. Vegan smoothies with lots of vegetable fats, nuts, oils and fruits replace your meals in the morning and at noon.

Home-cooked broths are available in the evening, so that your body is not busy with digestion during the night, but can cleanse and regenerate.

Try to keep it up for 8-10 days. If you can, even longer.

The end of the Detox cure

Of course, if the time has come when you’re craving solid foods and want to eat “normally” again for a change, don’t just jump right in. You have just cleansed your body, intestines and liver.

Why don’t you first do an analysis of how you are doing? How is your swelling, fatigue, concentration, how does your skin look like?

Do you have the feeling that you feel better? You notice that you didn’t even realize that you weren’t feeling so good, now that you feel really good?

Then don’t throw it all away right away and keep at it! Give up alcohol, coffee, meat and animal dairy products for a while.

Start with a salad and foods that your digestive tract knows from smoothies. Chew enough and take your time eating, this is especially important after 10 days of smoothies.

The next day you can eat fish and slowly integrate other ingredients back into your diet.

In the future, enjoy a more conscious meal consisting of more raw foods and more plant-based ingredients. Eat less meat, avoid sugar and animal dairy products.
