How Many Grams in a Teaspoon: Proportions for Different Products

Usually, we measure crumbly foods in teaspoons, so that we don’t accidentally overdo it. But if according to the recipe, you need a certain amount of products, you should know how many grams are in a teaspoon.

How many grams in a teaspoon – a list of different products

It is worth noting that usually the grams are specified without a slide. Therefore, take this point into account when preparing your dish:

  • 1 teaspoon of sugar – 5 grams;
  • 1 teaspoon of dry yeast – 5 grams;
  • 1 teaspoon salt – 7 grams;
  • 1 teaspoon water – 5 ml;
  • 1 teaspoon of honey – 7-8 grams;
  • 1 teaspoon of tea – 2 grams;
  • 1 teaspoon flour – 5 grams;
  • 1 teaspoon starch – 10 grams;
  • 1 teaspoon citric acid – 5 grams;
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa – 3 grams;
  • 1 teaspoon coffee – 4 grams;
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda – 12 grams;
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder – 3 grams;
  • 1 teaspoon dry gelatin – 5 grams;
  • 1 teaspoon of semolina – 7 grams;
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar – 4 grams;
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar – 5 ml;
  • 1 teaspoon powdered sugar – 10 grams.

If you pour these products into a teaspoon with a slide, the grams will vary by a few grams, depending on what you put in there.
