How to get rid of moths in cereals
- Change cereal from bags into glass or plastic jars with airtight lids.
- Wash cupboards with soap and water and smear the grooves with a vinegar solution.
- Foods with food moths in them should be thrown away. But if the groats or flour are not severely damaged, you can heat them in the microwave on maximum power or send them to the freezer for three days.
What to put in cereal against moths
To prevent food moths, it is recommended to add some to containers with groats and flour some fragrant products, which it fears.
- Garlic cloves.
- Black pepper in peppercorns.
- Laurel leaf.
- Oregano.
- Cloves.
- Peppermint.
- Orange and lemon peel.
- Lavender.
These spices and spices can be put directly into the grits or stored nearby on shelves in bags.
