How to get rid of the smell of mold and the mold itself in one fell swoop? Use bleach. This product is sold in all hardware stores and supermarkets. Its smell is certainly acrid, but it is an excellent disinfectant and bleaches the surface.

Apply bleach to the infected area on the wall or ceiling and then rinse it off. Like with vinegar, this manipulation will need to be done several times.
