  • boil water in the pot and salt;
  • Pour in the rice and stir once;
  • When the water begins to boil, put the minimum heat and cover the pot with a lid.

In the process of cooking, you can not lift the lid or stir the rice, otherwise, it will cook longer and is unlikely to be crumbly. Speaking about how long to cook rice, it is important to take into account its type:

  • white – 20 minutes;
  • steamed – 30 minutes;
  • brown – 40 minutes;
  • Wild – 40-60 minutes.

In the end, when the rice is ready, remove it from the fire and let it stand for 10-15 minutes. If there is water left in the pot, you can drain it or cover the pot with a dry towel – it will absorb the remaining moisture.

How to cook rice in the multicooker – secrets

Cooking rice in a multicooker is a convenient way to cook yourself a delicious side dish, but it is also important to know about the nuances. You should:

  • Put the rice in the bowl of the multicooker;
  • Pour the water and add spices;
  • close the lid and select one of the modes: “Cereals”, “Rice”, “Pilaf” or “Buckwheat”.

In terms of time, rice in the multicooker also cooks differently:

  • white – 30 minutes;
  • steamed – 30-40 minutes;
  • brown – 50 minutes;
  • wild – 50-60 minutes.

Turn the microwave on to full power and set the cooking time:

  • white and steamed rice – 15-20 minutes;
  • brown and wild – 20-25 minutes.

Regardless of the type of rice, after cooking you need to stir the groats and leave for another  5-10 minutes in the turned-off microwave.
