Not Just Coffee: 6 Ways to Raise Blood Pressure Quickly and Without Pills

Hypotension or low blood pressure is a very unpleasant symptom, although not as life-threatening as hypertension. A value below 90 over 60 mmHg is considered life-threatening. – In this case, it is worth calling an ambulance. Also, the ambulance should be called if the drop in pressure is accompanied by cold sticky sweat, rapid breathing, and weak pulse.

If your blood pressure has fallen slightly, you can try to raise it to normal with improvised means.

Strong tea or coffee

Caffeine contributes to an increase in blood pressure, so if you feel unwell, you should drink a cup of strong coffee or tea. It is important to remember that if you drink such drinks regularly, the body will get used to the caffeine and the remedy will not be as effective.

Salty food

Salt quickly increases blood pressure, so hypertensive people are contraindicated to salted food. But for hypotensive people, it is a real salvation. When low blood pressure, eat a piece of feta cheese, salted herring, pickled cucumber, or a spoonful of soy sauce. If you don’t have any of these things at home, put a pinch of salt under your tongue, and you will quickly feel better.

Water

Blood pressure can fall due to a violation of the water balance in the body. Universal advice for high and low blood pressure is to drink more water. This will bring your blood pressure back to normal.

Stockings or tights

Your blood pressure will rise quickly if you reduce the volume of blood in your legs. Then the displaced blood from the extremities will increase the pressure in the blood vessels. You can do this by wearing tights or special compression stockings for varicose veins.

Proper posture

If you don’t have stockings or pantyhose at home, sit up straight and put your leg over your leg. This posture increases pressure quickly, so it is contraindicated for people with high blood pressure.

Stretch your hands

Exercises for the hands stimulate the tone of the blood vessels and quickly increases blood pressure. If you have at home a wrist expander, do the exercise on it for both hands and your blood pressure will quickly rise.
