What To Replace Toilet Paper With: Useful Emergency Tiphacks

Why you should stop using toilet paper

Scientists have concluded that the use of toilet paper is not only harmful to the environment, but also to human health. It can increase the risk of anal fissures and urinary tract infections.

Particularly dangerous are hygiene products with fragrances. Synthetic additives are used to create them, which can cause allergies and even cancer. The abundance of chemistry becomes the ideal environment in which bacteria and fungi multiply more quickly. UNIAN has selected options of what can be used instead of toilet paper.

Wet wipes instead of toilet paper

Using wet wipes will allow you not only to clean the anus but also to moisturize it. Wet toilet paper is best for this, but to save money, you can buy baby wet wipes that do not contain a lot of harmful chemical additives.

Another option could be a bidet. Among its undoubted advantages:

  • hygiene (water and soap will clean better than paper);
  • no harm to the environment (making toilet paper harms nature and depletes forests);
  • reduces the risk of hemorrhoids (water does not put as much pressure on the anus).

However, there are situations when there is nothing of the above at home and the “X” moment has already arrived. You can take a shower, cleansing yourself in a similar way. The newspaper instead of toilet paper will also work in this case. It is better to crumple it a little with your hands before using it so that the newspaper becomes softer. If you have more time, you can soak the newspaper and then dry it.
