Chocolate and Cherry Crumble Cake

Ingredients for the dough

  • 250 g Flour
  • 150 g Margarine
  • 125 g Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 0,5 packet Baking powder
  • 2 tbsp Cocoa powder slightly de-oiled
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 glass Morello cherries cored and drained

Ingredients for the topping

  • 150 g Flour
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 100 g Margarine
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar


  • Drain the cherries well
  • Mix the flour with cocoa, baking powder and salt.
  • Mix the margarine with sugar until frothy and fold in the eggs one by one. Gradually stir in the mixed flour. Carefully fold in the well-drained cherries with a spoon. Spread the dough on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  • For the crumble mix the ingredients well with a spoon and spread over the cherry batter. Meanwhile preheat the oven to 190 ° C. Then in the oven for 35 minutes!
