Chocolate Loves Caramel

The perfect chocolate loves caramel recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For the dough:

  • 200 g Flour
  • 125 g Butter
  • 50 ml Water
  • 1 Pc. Egg yolk
  • 0,5 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Sugar

For the caramel layer:

  • 250 g Sugar
  • 100 g Salted butter
  • 170 ml Cream

For the chocolate mass:

  • 200 g Dark chocolate
  • 150 ml Cream
  • 30 g Butter

Dough:

  1. Mix the cold butter with the flour, salt and sugar. Then gradually add the egg yolk and the cold water until a ball of dough is formed.
  2. Fill the dough into the mold and bake for approx. 10 minutes at 180 ° C.

Caramel:

  1. Heat the sugar over a gentle heat with 1-2 tablespoons of water until it becomes a nice color. Remove from the heat and carefully add the heated cream.
  2. Mix and remove from heat. Let cool down a bit and then add the butter and stir in well.
  3. Place on the already cooled cake base and chill for 30 minutes.

Chocolate cream:

  1. Bring the cream for the chocolate cream to the boil and pour it over the finely chopped chocolate.
  2. Wait a minute for the chocolate to begin to melt. Stir until the chocolate has dissolved. Add the butter at the end.
  3. Then place on the caramel and let rest in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
