Ingredients

  • 250 g Flour
  • 180 g Cold butter
  • 100 g Ground almonds
  • 90 g Sugar
  • 30 g Powdered sugar
  • 2 packet Vanilla sugar

Instructions

  • Put the flour, sugar, ground almonds and vanilla sugar in a mixing bowl and mix together. Add the crushed butter and the pulp of the vanilla pod as well.
  • Knead everything together in the bowl by hand to form dough. Then finish kneading on the work surface. Shape two thick sausages and place in a bag in the refrigerator for half an hour.
  • After half an hour, knead the dough again, pluck small pieces of dough and shape into a ball. Roll the ball between the palms of the hands until we have a sausage that is tapered on both sides. Bend the tips towards each other and place the vanilla croissants on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  • Bake the tray with the vanilla crescents in the preheated oven for 12 minutes at 180 degrees. Then let the vanilla crescents cool and dust with vanilla sugar.
