Coleslaw – Coleslaw American Style

The perfect coleslaw – coleslaw american style recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 0,5 piece Fresh white cabbage
  • 2 Pc. Carrots
  • 1 piece Onion
  • 2 tbsp White wine vinegar
  • 250 g Mayonnaise 80% fat
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • Salt
  • Pepper from the grinder
  1. Grate half the cabbage (or buy small ones) and the carrots in a bowl. Add the diced onion and then season with salt, pepper, sugar and vinegar. Let the whole stand for about 1 hour and at the end, if there is water, pour it off. Now stir in the majo.
  1. I always take 2 majo cups from the cooling shelf, but that’s a matter of taste. Now if necessary. Season or season to taste and let it steep again for approx. 1 hour. Goes great with burgers or steak.
