Continue Using Cucumber Water – The Best Tips

Use cucumber water: The best options at a glance

If the pickle jar is empty, you do not have to dispose of the water. There are useful uses:

  • Sore throat: Instead of cough syrup, you can simply drink a tablespoon of cucumber water when you have a sore throat or a cold. This natural cough syrup works just as well.
  • Weed killer: Simply pour the cucumber water on the weeds and the vinegar will act as a natural weed killer. Its use is particularly worthwhile against thistles and nettles. However, there should be no other plants in the immediate vicinity, as this will cause the soil to absorb acid and also damage the good plants.
  • Anti-Hangover Potion: When you come home from a party at night, cucumber juice might not be the first thing that comes to your mind. The mixture of vinegar and sugar, however, alleviates the hangover the next day.
  • Cramps: The same effect also helps against cramps and sore muscles. Some cucumber water after a workout prevents both of these ailments.
  • Heartburn: It works similarly to heartburn. A small sip of cucumber water before meals prevents or reduces heartburn.
  • Sunburn: If you don’t have any suitable aftersun products at hand, you can also use cucumber water if you get sunburned. Gently dab the cucumber water onto the affected areas with a cotton pad.
  • Cocktail: Cucumber water is also becoming increasingly popular as a cocktail. Pour 9 cl of cucumber water into 6 cl of vodka and you’ll have a trendy summer drink. It is best served in a martini glass with a small pickle.
