Currant – Peach Jam
The perfect currant – peach jam recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 kg Red currants
- 1 kg Fresh peaches
- 1 pack Preserving sugar 2: 1
- 2 pack Citric acid
- Scald peaches with hot water (bring to the boil briefly in a saucepan) then peel off the skin, wash the currants and remove them from the steal
- Pour the currants and peaches into a tall saucepan
- Add gelling sugar e.g. 2 to 1 (2 kg of fruit and 500 grams of gelling sugar) and bring everything to a boil
- Crush everything with the hand blender
- Pour everything into the washed glasses, I used a funnel for this
- Close the glasses and turn them upside down, after they have cooled down put them in the cellar – should be stored in a cool place –
