How to cut Chinese cabbage
If you wish, you can use the Chinese cabbage from the head to the stalk. As a rule, however, the latter is cut away.
- Always clean the Chinese cabbage before using it. It is usually sufficient to remove the outer leaves. You only have to wash the remaining Chinese cabbage under water.
- Divide the head in two. In this case, do not cut off the stalk.
- Place one half of the Chinese cabbage, flat side down, on a cutting board.
- Cut the Chinese cabbage into thin strips.
- Then throw away the stalk at the end.
