Dessert: Gingerbread Crumble with Apple, Pear and Cranberries

Ingredients
 

For the fruit:

  • 4 Ripe pears
  • 2 Apples
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • 2 tsp Freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 0,5 tsp Clove powder
  • 2 tbsp Vanilla sugar

For the sauce:

  • 3 tbsp Cranberries from the glass
  • 1 tbsp Plum jam with apple and cinnamon, alternatively simple plum jam
  • 0,5 tsp Ground cinnamon

For the sprinkles:

  • 170 g Wheat flour
  • 150 g Butter
  • 120 g Brown sugar
  • 0,5 tsp Ginger bread spice

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (top and bottom heat). Peel the apples and pears, remove the core and cut into wedges. Bring to the boil with the cinnamon stick, lemon juice, clove powder and 3/4 L water. Cook for approx. 4-5 minutes until soft, then drain and remove the cinnamon stick.
  • Put the pear and apple mixture in a baking dish. Heat the cranberries, plum jam and cinnamon in a saucepan over medium heat while stirring until the whole is runny. Distribute evenly over the fruit.
  • Knead the wheat flour, butter, sugar and gingerbread spice into crumble and pour over the fruit. Bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, let cool down a little and serve warm. If you want, you can also serve cream or vanilla sauce. Have fun trying out and enjoying!
