Dubrow Diet: This Is Behind The Weight Loss Method

How the Dubrovnik Diet works

Compared to counting calories, for example, the Dubrow diet is supposed to be a discipline-required but simple form of weight loss. The couple Terry and Heather Dubrow have developed a plan for this.

  • This diet consists of three phases of intermittent fasting.
  • Interval 1: Here you take a break from eating for 16 hours and only consume food within 8 hours. This should help the body get used to fasting. This interval is carried out for 2-5 days. During this time you should not drink alcohol and avoid carbohydrates.
  • Interval 2: From now on you can alternate the 16:8 and 12:12 (12 hours eating, 12 hours rest) fasting. In addition, sport is regularly practiced in phase 2. Alcohol and carbohydrates are allowed in small amounts.
  • You can do interval 2 as long as you like.
  • Interval 3: After phases 1-2, your week now consists of 5 days of 12:12 fasting and 2 days of 16:8 fasting.
  • You can also have a day where you can eat whatever and whenever you want.
  • So the focus of the Dubrow Diet is much more on the timing of eating than what is eaten.
  • However, you should still stick to a balanced diet with lots of green vegetables and proteins and few carbohydrates.

What the Dubrow Diet does

After the Dubrow Diet, you don’t have to do without eating sins. This should help you stay on the ball and feel good about losing weight. At the same time, the diet should have a positive effect on your body.

  • The first goal of the Dubrow Diet is, of course, weight loss.
  • By focusing on fasting and snacking on sweets and consuming alcohol in moderation, this diet is intended to be a long-term weight loss method.
  • In addition, the inventors of the Drubow diet say that intermittent fasting activates the anti-aging function in the cells.
  • However, it should be viewed critically that on the one hand, the anti-aging effect can only occur after years of intermittent fasting – which has not yet been proven.
  • On the other hand, weight can be lost quickly through the diet, but the limited food intake can also result in a shortage of nutrients.
  • If you follow the diet, make sure you’re getting enough nutrients, healthy fats, and protein from your food.
