Energy Balls: Chocolate Almond Chai Balls

  • 100 g Almonds or hazelnuts
  • 200 g Pitted Medjoul dates
  • 2 tbsp Raw cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp Almond butter
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 tbsp Melted coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp Chia seeds
  • 2 tsp Chai spice
  • 20 g Cocoa nibs
  • Shredded coconut as needed for rolling


  • Coarsely grind the nuts in the food processor and then process them into a smooth mass with about 1 tbsp water and the other ingredients, except for cocoa nibs. Mix in the cocoa nibs at the end.
  • Roll bite-sized balls between the palms of your hands and toss them in ground nuts or desiccated coconut as desired.
  • Store in the refrigerator.
