rice pudding

  1. Bring the milk to the boil and stir in the rice pudding. Allow the whole thing to soak for about 40 minutes on the lowest setting with the lid on. Stir again and again and sweeten with sugar if you like. Finally, transfer the rice pudding, let it cool and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar before serving.

Hot cherry waffles

  1. First stir the eggs with sugar until frothy. Then add butter, flour, salt, lemon zest, butter vanilla flavor and baking powder and mix everything together to form a smooth dough. Then grease the waffle iron and heat it up.
  2. In the meantime, put the glass of cherries and the liquid in a small saucepan, bring to the boil and thicken until the desired consistency is achieved. Finally, bake the waffles until golden and place the warm cherries on top.

Black bread with ham

  1. Heat the buttermilk only slightly and mix it with the yeast and sugar beet syrup. Mix the rye, wheat meal and flour, add the buttermilk mixture and salt and stir everything well. Then line a loaf pan with baking paper, add the dough and let rise for 45 minutes in a warm place.
  2. Then preheat the oven to 150 degrees, sprinkle the dough with the oat flakes and bake for 2 hours. Let the baked bread cool on a wire rack. Finally, cut the bread into slices, brush with butter and top with the ham.

Mares with strawberry jam

  1. First put the flour in a bowl and make a well in the middle. Crumble the yeast in there, add sugar, pour a little lukewarm milk over everything and mix with a little flour. Now add the remaining ingredients and knead everything into a dough. Then put the dough in a greased dish and let rise for about 30 minutes in a warm place. Bake the mares in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 40 minutes.
  2. In the meantime, clean the strawberries, cut them into small pieces and put them in a large saucepan. Mix the strawberries with the preserving sugar 2: 1 and lemon juice and puree finely. Bring the mixture to the boil, stirring constantly, and let it simmer for about 8 minutes. Stir the mixture again and again and skim off the resulting foam. Finally, pour the jam into twist-off glasses while still hot and allow to cool. Enough for mares.
