Farmers Bread
The perfect farmers bread recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 500 g Rye flour
- 500 g Wheat flour
- 2 packet Dry yeast
- 2 pinch Salt
- 2 pinch Sugar
- 650 Milliliters Lukewarm water
- Mix the two types of flour, yeast, salt and sugar in a bowl. Pour in the water. Knead with the dough hook of a mixer until the dough separates from the edge of the bowl. Cover with a cloth and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
- Then shape an elongated loaf with floured hands and place on a baking sheet with parchment paper underneath. Cover again and leave to rise for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Place a heat-resistant bowl of water in the bottom of the oven. Then the bread will not dry out. Brush the bread with water. Bake for about 45-60 minutes at 180 ° on the middle rack. Check with a needle in between that the bread is ready. When the dough no longer sticks to the needle, it’s good.
