Ingredients

  • 1 disc Toast
  • 1 disc Bacon
  • 1 disc Cheese
  • 1 Pc. Egg
  • Chives
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Paprika powder

Instructions

  • Whether on bread, with herbs, with spinach or on toast - there is nothing like a perfect fried egg! It is traditionally "Sunny Side Up", which means that it is only baked on one side so that the yolk is facing up. Anyone who thinks this is the only kind has not yet eaten an American fried egg in the diner. In addition to the classic variant, there is also the option of ordering the egg "Over Easy", also baked briefly on the yolk side, or even "Over Medium", fried on the yolk side for a longer period of time.
  • During pregnancy, the fried egg should definitely be fried on both sides, because the following applies: Better hard than soft! Pregnant women can also enjoy a delicious fried egg.
  • If you want to eat healthily, you can fry a fried egg without fat, but with a little water and then place it on a wholemeal toast. And don't worry! If you follow a vegan diet, you don't have to go without a fried egg! There are now good substitutes for preparing a vegan fried egg. To do this, the ingredients can be quickly mixed in the Thermomix, for example.

Fried egg with bacon on toast:

  • Place the cheese on the toast and bake in the oven at 190 degrees for 5 minutes. Alternatively, the toast with cheese can also be put in the microwave for 1.5 minutes.
  • Fry the bacon on both sides.
  • Beat the egg in the same pan and bake on one side or as you like. If necessary, add a little oil or butter.
  • Then top the cheese toast with bacon and the egg.
  • Season with a little chives, salt, pepper and paprika powder.
