Fried Meat Loaf with Sauerkraut and Roasted Onion Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients
 

  • 4 slices Coarse meat loaf - mini slices
  • 150 g Fresh sauerkraut
  • 100 ml Vegetable broth
  • 1 tsp Caraway seed
  • 1 tbsp Lard
  • 8 Peeled potatoes
  • 1 Peeled onion
  • 20 ml Milk
  • 1 big piece Butter
  • 3 tbsp Danish fried onions
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp Creme fraiche Cheese

Instructions
 

  • First, cook the sauerkraut in a little vegetable stock with a little caraway seeds and 1 tablespoon of lard until soft.
  • Peel the potatoes and onions and cut them roughly into cubes and cook in salted water until they are soft. During this time, heat the milk and prepare the butter and fried onions. When the potatoes are soft, pour off the milk and butter and mash them roughly. Now add the fried onions and the crème fraîche and puree the cape as finely as you like it.
  • Fry the Leberkäse in the pan on both sides. Put everything on a flat plate and enjoy a delicious meal.
