- Roast the almonds in a pan until golden brown and set aside
- Make a smooth dough by hand using the flour, sugar, baking powder, butter, eggs and the spices. Then knead in the nuts and fruits.
- Wrap the dough in foil and let it rest overnight.
- We now preheat the oven to 175 °.
- Now divide the dough into 4 equal parts and then shape each into a roll of about 3 cm in diameter. Flatten the rolls a little.
- Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in the oven for 15 minutes. (the floor may only have a light browning). Then let cool down on a wire rack for about 15 minutes.
- Now we cut each roll diagonally into approx. 5 mm thick slices and lay the slices flat again on the baking sheet lined with baking paper. We bake these again for about 10 minutes at the same temperature. Don't bake too hard !!! .... After 8 minutes see how far you are.
- Then pull from the tray and let cool down.
- Always a delicious snack ......
