Instructions
For the dough and topping
- Work the flour, fat, sugar, egg and vanilla sugar into a dough and spread on a baking sheet. I always use a fruit cake tray, which is a little smaller than the usual tray. Then peel the apples, cut into pieces and mix with the applesauce in a bowl. Put the mixture on the dough.
- Melt the fat in the pot, then remove it from the stove, mix the remaining ingredients and add. Let this mass cool down briefly and then form the crumble by taking the dough in your hand and crumbling it between both hands. Best of all over the cake on the baking sheet, of course. Then bake on the middle rack at approx. 175 degrees hot air for approx. 45 minutes. But be careful: Always watch, as sprinkles burn quickly.
For the ice cream
- Whip the cream until stiff and fold into the rest of the mixed ingredients until no lumps are visible, then place in the ice cream maker. The ice cream is ready in approx. 40 - 50 minutes.
