Ingredients

  • 1200 g Green beans
  • 4 tsp Salt
  • 5 tsp Salt / no typo
  • 1500 ml Water
  • 250 ml Table vinegar
  • 6 piece Onions
  • 6 tbsp Sugar fine
  • 6 tsp Yellow mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp Ground pepper white
  • 3 tsp Finely chopped savory
  • 4 tsp Chopped dill

Instructions

  • Wash the beans well and drain them in the sieve. Cut off the ends and remove any threads that may be present (we don't have any threads).
  • Bring the water to a boil in a large saucepan with 4 teaspoons of salt and add the beans. Let the whole thing simmer for about 10 minutes.
  • Pour the beans into a colander and rinse in cold water. This will keep the color and stop the cooking process. Drain well.
  • For the brew, we peel the onions and cut them into half rings.
  • We clean the herbs and finely chop them.
  • In the same pot we boil the water with all the spices and the onions again and let the brew simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • In the meantime, the beans have drained well and can now be put in the glasses.
  • The brew is now ready and is now poured over the beans until they are completely covered.
  • The same procedure: close the lid and turn the head, allow to cool.
  • We need about 2-3 weeks to pull through, but then ........
