Ingredients

Hearty lentil stew

  • 150 ml Beer to taste
  • 150 ml Water
  • 150 g Plate lentils
  • 150 g Onions
  • 120 g Leek
  • 150 g Carrots
  • 120 g Celery root
  • 300 g Potatoes
  • 300 g Kasseler
  • 2 Twigs Spice thyme from our own garden
  • 3 piece Sausages
  • 300 ml Vegetable stock + more as needed
  • Salt. Gourmet pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Take a bowl and pour in the beer to taste and water. Then add the weighed lentils, stir and let soak for about 2 hours.
  • Take a deep saucepan and place the smoked pork loin in it. Add spice thyme from your own garden. Cover with the vegetable stock and slowly bring to the boil. Then you put the plate lentils with the remaining liquid in the pot.
  • Salt and pepper and let everything slowly continue to boil for about one (30 minutes) hour. If necessary, add a little more of the vegetable stock. Take out the smoked pork and put aside on a plate. Now add the prepared, chopped vegetables and slowly cook for another 20 minutes.
  • Cut the set aside smoked pork loin on the plate into bite-sized pieces and put them back in the pot with the other ingredients. Also add the sausages in slices and with them. Stir and season with salt and gourmet pepper, season to taste. Take several deep plates, pour in and then serve immediately.
