Ingredients

  • 150 g Rye flour, type 1150
  • 225 g Wheat flour, type 550
  • 3 tsp Baking soda
  • 0,5 tsp According to cinnamon
  • 0,5 tsp According to carnations
  • 0,5 tsp According to ginger
  • 0,5 tsp According to cardamom
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 150 g Heather honey
  • 100 g Brown sugar
  • 150 ml Milk
  • 50 ml Espresso or strong black tea

Instructions

  • Important in advance: have a greased loaf pan ready and preheat the oven to 150 degrees lower / upper heat. The preparation takes 15 minutes, only the baked cake has to rest for another 2 days after it has cooled down.
  • Step 2: Mix both flours, salt and spices, then add sugar, heather honey, milk and espresso / tea and mix well with a mixer.
  • Step 2: Pour the mixture into the greased loaf pan and place in the oven (grate) at 150 degrees for 60 minutes.
  • Step 4: Take honey bread out of the oven and let it cool down. Then wrap in aluminum foil without a mold and leave to rest for 2 days. Done 🙂 ... and with butter - and if you like - enjoy an additional dollop of heather honey. We have breakfast as well as a coffee break in the afternoon. Bon appetit everyone!
