Green tea – the hot drink is so healthy

As early as 4000 BC, green tea was drunk as a remedy, especially in Japan and China. Read here whether you should still do this today:

  • Green tea is still popular and valued as a health-promoting agent. It works against viruses, bacteria, and inflammation. It is also suitable for a balanced diet. It stimulates the metabolism and thus contributes to better fat burning. The tea also has a positive effect on your cholesterol levels. This is also reduced by regular consumption.
  • You should not only drink green tea for illnesses but also prevent and strengthen your immune system. Due to its many ingredients, it also contributes to increasing endurance and improving your general physical performance.
  • The tea has preventive effects on cardiovascular diseases in particular. It prevents arteriosclerosis and thus contributes to the better functioning of the heart.
  • So that you can really benefit from the positive effects of tea on your health, you must pay particular attention to the quality and regular intake. Choose only high-quality teas. You can find these in your trusted tea shop, for example. We generally advise against green tea in tea bags from the supermarket.
  • You should also find out about the correct preparation. Most green teas have differences in steeping time and the required water temperature.
  • Tip: The varieties Bancha, Sencha, and Gyokuro are particularly suitable for daily use. In the morning you should start with a cup of Gyokuro, at noon you should take Sencha and in the evening the Bancha variety is particularly recommended. After just a few days you will feel an improvement in your physical performance.
  • Important: You should avoid green tea during pregnancy, as it can reduce the absorption of iron. It also has a large amount of caffeine. Therefore, before drinking it regularly, you should first make sure that you really tolerate the tea.
