Is It Necessary To Have Dinner, Or Maybe Not?

There is no doubt that you need to have dinner. It remains to be seen what to eat, when, and how much so that dinner is beneficial.

When should you eat dinner?

The time for dinner is different for everyone. The main condition is that you should have dinner no later than 4 hours before bedtime.

That is, if you go to bed at 10:00 p.m., you should have dinner at 6:00 p.m. Eating dinner right before bed is not useful because the body will not have time to digest the food, which begins to ferment inside and poisons the body. The calories we eat before bedtime will undoubtedly remain on our waistlines.

What can you eat for dinner?

At night, our body not only rests but also recovers: skin and muscles regenerate, and hair and nails grow. The task of dinner is to replenish the body’s reserves of amino acids. Therefore, dinner should consist of proteins and their “friends” – vegetables.

Protein should be light: fish, seafood, cottage cheese, eggs, beans, lentils, and mushrooms.
The best vegetables to eat for dinner are cauliflower, green salad, bell peppers, tomatoes, broccoli, celery, pumpkin, leeks, avocados, Jerusalem artichoke, cucumbers, and zucchini.

It is ideal if half of the vegetables for dinner are raw, the rest can be cooked in the oven, grill, or double boiler. Vegetables in the evening should be 2 times more than proteins.

For those who are losing weight, it is good to eat cabbage for dinner – white cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, and other types. Cabbage contains tartronic acid, which prevents the formation of fat from carbohydrates.
Another tip for those losing weight: eat slowly.

What should not be eaten in the evening?

You should not eat carbohydrates for dinner, especially those that are easily digested: in the evening, the body digests glucose worse, and if there is too much of it, fat begins to be stored. Therefore, you should avoid fruits, dried fruits, sandwiches, buns, cakes, and other sweets and flour products.

Do not eat potatoes, carrots, beets, cornflakes, cereals, and especially rice.

Don’t eat fried foods – heavy foods make it difficult for the gallbladder, liver, and pancreas to function. This is especially true of fried meat. The combination of flour and meat will also be difficult: dumplings, dumplings, and fresh pastries.

How much to eat for dinner?

A handful – two palms – is your dinner portion. If we talk about grams, a portion of food in the evening for a woman is on average 250 grams, and for a man – 350 grams.
Based on this amount, 100 grams is a portion of protein, and 250 grams is vegetables. If there are no contraindications, it is good to include cardamom, coriander, ginger, and black pepper in your evening meal.

These spices improve the body’s metabolism, and blood circulation, help the digestive system, and improve the removal of cholesterol and excess fat from the body.
