Ingredients

Jams - hills - thalers

  • 175 g Organic quark (remainder)
  • 6 tbsp Milk
  • 6 tbsp Rapeseed oil
  • 50 g Finest sugar
  • 0,5 tsp Homemade vanilla flavor
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 300 g Wheat flour 405
  • 1 bag Baking powder
  • 6 tsp Jam from the greenhouse - strawberries
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 1 tsp Milk
  • 25 g Amarettini (leftovers)
  • 6 Fresh strawberries
  • 6 Lemon balm leaves

Instructions

  • Take a mixing bowl / food processor and add the quark, milk, rapeseed oil, sugar and a pinch of salt. Let stir once. Then mix the wheat flour with the baking powder and then add to the mix in the bowl. Now knead the whole thing or let it knead.
  • Flour the work surface lightly and place the kneaded dough on top. Then shape into a roll and cut into six (6) pieces / slices. Press the pieces a little flat and press a hollow in the middle. Fill all with * jam from greenhouse - strawberries & place on baking sheet / magic stone (greased).
  • Preheat the oven to 200 degrees top / bottom heat. Put the few Amarettini I had in a bag, close it and crumble it with a wooden dough roller. Put the egg yolks in a bowl and whisk in the milk. Then brush the edges of the thalers with.
  • Sprinkle the crumbled Amarettini on the thalers and press on. When the oven is preheated, add and bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Remember that every oven bakes differently. After baking, remove and let cool. Garnish with fresh strawberries and lemon balm leaves.
