Ingredients
 

For the sauerkraut:

  • Oil for frying
  • 1 blob Mustard hot
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 50 g Ham cubes
  • 1 size Onion in strips
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 7 Juniper berries squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon Caraway seeds
  • 1 kl. Can Sauerkraut
  • 100 ml Broth

Instructions
 

  • For the sauerkraut, heat the oil in a saucepan and fry the ham cubes with the onion strips in them until translucent, sweat the bay leaves, juniper berries and caraway seeds briefly in them and then add the sauerkraut (slightly loosened with a fork) and the stock and cover the vegetables for about 45 minutes cook for a long time.
  • Fry the smoked pork chops in a pan with heated oil until golden brown on both sides, then add the frying fat to the sauerkraut and cook both gently. Arrange the chops with the sauerkraut on plates and serve with a dollop of mustard.
  • I served fried potatoes with it.
