As nutritionist Veronika Naturomama said on her Instagram, the earth is a living organism with millions of different bacteria, micro-, and macro-organisms.

But if you have a weakened gastrointestinal function, especially low acidity of gastric juice, you should soak greens with salt, baking soda, or natural vinegar to get rid of worm eggs.

Also, if the product is not of organic natural origin, and was treated with pesticides and herbicides during cultivation, you need to treat the products in a special way.

How to properly wash greens

  • Rinse in clean water.
  • Wash fruits with dense skin with baking soda (or peel off the skin).
  • Soak the greens and berries in a weak solution of natural vinegar, soda, or salt for 10-15 minutes (1 tbsp of soda/salt/vinegar per 1 liter of water).
