Labels on Packages Will Tell You Everything: How to Choose the Right Products

It’s hard to meet a person who doesn’t want to live a long and healthy life. However, this desire depends only on the person himself or herself and often on the food he or she chooses. In order to protect yourself from harmful substances entering the body, it is enough to learn how to choose foods with a good composition. Read on to learn how to do this.

How to choose the right products – pay attention to labeling

Product labeling is very important, as it can help you find out all the information you need about a product.

What you need to get used to paying attention to:

  • composition
  • expiration date
  • presence of allergens
  • nutritional value
  • manufacturer

How to choose products with a good composition – what to avoid

The composition of a product will tell you how healthy it is and how full of chemicals it is. Learning to read the composition is quite simple.

What you need to remember:

Type of oil, fats

Trans fats, special purpose fats, and modified and cooking fats should be avoided.

Allergen

If you or your child is allergic to certain ingredients, look for them in the composition. Sometimes even the “eco”, “for children” and “bio” labels do not guarantee a clean composition.

Sugar

Sometimes sugar is disguised under other names: starch molasses, maltodextrin, or powdered sugar. If at least one of these products is in second place on the list, it means that the product contains a large amount of sugar.

Flavors

Any unnatural smells and flavors are chemical, it is better to give preference to natural flavors.

E-additives

Contrary to popular belief, not all letters E in the composition are dangerous. Some of them are safe. You can find out about each E mark using the E-additives program.
