Ingredients
- 375 g Flour
- 500 g Sugar
- 4 Pc. Eggs
- 440 ml Rapeseed oil or sunflower oil
- 250 ml Lambrusco (Italian sparkling wine, sweet)
- 1 packet Custard powder (cream or vanilla)
- 1 packet Baking powder
- 1 P Vanilla sugar
- 150 g Cake icing (cocoa)
Instructions
- The recipe is based on the well-known seltzer cake. Since I still had half a bottle of Lambrusco left, this inspired me to use it instead of mineral water, which gave the cake a great taste. It doesn't always have to be mineral water (Selters), I have already tried it successfully with apple spritzer or cola.
- Mix all ingredients together in a tall bowl. Put the rather thin dough on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake at 170 ° C on the middle rack for 25 minutes. Then brush the cooled cake with the melted cake icing, done. Doesn't take a lot of work, goes super fast and tastes great.
