Smoothies are thick cocktails made from natural, healthy ingredients that are blended in a blender to a puree. Berries, fruits, vegetables, milk, yogurt, kefir, ice cream, and cream are used to make it. Nuts, flakes or muesli, cottage cheese, or syrup can also be added if desired. A million combinations and maximum benefits.

Smoothies began to be made back in the 1930s on the west coast of the United States. The pureed fruit drinks were distributed through health food stores. Already in the 40s, the Waring company, which specialized in the manufacture of blenders, began to add a booklet with recipes for “banana puree” and “pineapple smoothie” to each blender. And in the 60s, the wave of smoothie preference was caught up by the popular vegetarianism of the time.

At that time, we had Soviet store-bought purees called “Baby Food” in 200-gram jars. Peach “Nectar with pulp”; apple, carrot, pear, and pumpkin purees were nostalgic childhood favorites.

Nowadays, everything is easier – almost every household has a blender. If you want to do something healthy for your kids, you just cook an apple, grind it, and feed it to them, and no preservatives.

A healthy smoothie is also more fun and easier. I chopped up fruits and vegetables, and you can add yogurt, mineral water, honey, nuts, eggs, and soft cheese as you wish. You can also add seasonings – ginger, cinnamon, tarragon, and mint. Choose what you like and enjoy it with great benefit. It is said that a properly prepared smoothie is almost a three-day dose of vitamins. It’s quick to prepare. You can also add ice to the smoothie.

The benefit lies in the ingredients of the smoothie – it contains a lot of vitamins and fibers that both saturate the body and remove toxins. Berries are rich in antioxidants. In Europe and America, it is popular to add calcium, multivitamins, minerals, and soy milk to smoothies.

Smoothies are an indispensable dish for losing weight. The body is saturated with a small amount and you don’t have to go hungry. To lose 1.5-2 kg per week is enough to replace two meals (breakfast and dinner) with smoothies. It is advisable that the breakfast smoothie be fruit and berry, and the dinner – is vegetable.

First the liquid, then the soft ingredients, then the harder ones. Ice comes last. Turn on the blender at the lowest speed and gradually increase it – just 45 seconds and the smoothie is ready.

Enjoy it with benefits!
