Mashed Potatoes Italy

The perfect mashed potatoes italy recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 300 g Potatoes
  • 1 Small zucchini
  • 6 Small cherry tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp Basil oil
  • Salt, chilli, basil. nutmeg
  • 125 ml Milk
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  1. Halve the zucchini and cut into thin slices, quarter the tomatoes
  1. Fry the zucchini in the basil oil, briefly add the tomatoes and fry with them
  1. Heat the milk, add a little nutmeg and salt
  1. Boil the potatoes and press them through the potato press (alternatively you can make a pulp with a mixer and whisk)
  1. Add milk and butter and stir until the butter is dissolved
  1. Add the zucchini and tomatoes and stir well.
  1. Season to taste with salt, chilli and basil (for me it was unfortunately dried, frozen or fresh is better). Complete 😉
