Ingredients

  • 1 kg Beef steak fresh
  • 1 Onion cut into rings
  • 1 Freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 Freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 100 ml Dark beer or Guinness
  • 250 ml Soy sauce dark
  • 1 bunch Spring onions fresh
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  • Combine beer, lime juice, orange juice and soy sauce in a bowl. Add the onion rings.
  • Marinate the steak meat for at least 2 hours. Turn frequently so that the marinade can absorb well.
  • Grill on a skewer or grill. Wash, trim and grill the spring onions.
  • The steak is served with Mexican rice, baked beans and salad.

Notes

In Spain, asada means roast, in Mexico it means preparing a steak, preferably with a marinade. Of course, the better the meat, the better the finished dish will be, but since the citrus fruits make the meat tender, surprising results can also be achieved with cheaper cuts of meat. So there is no need to buy filet (filet mignon) for this recipe. Dark beers with a distinctive taste of their own or Guinness are ideal ingredients for the marinade.
