Influwenza tad-Dieta Fuq is-Saħħa

An unhealthy diet is the cause of many health disorders. But what exactly does unhealthy eating mean? In this part, we inform you about widespread nutritional errors, their possible consequences for health, and, last but not least, the possibilities of how to do it better and healthier.

The influence of diet on health

Diet – together with physical activity, sunlight, and balanced mental life – probably has the greatest influence on our well-being, our fitness, and our health.

While sport is not for everyone and the psyche often goes its own way, the diet can be changed without much effort, quickly, and with noticeable success.

No, we haven’t forgotten the genes. It’s just that the genes – even if they were actually responsible for this or that disease – only become active when nutrition is neglected, the organism suffers from a lack of vital substances as a result, the immune system is finally weakened and thus the right breeding ground for sickness and suffering is created.

Eating the wrong foods

Most of us are used to buying food for our diet at supermarkets or fast food places.

We’ve been doing this since we were kids, so this way of sourcing groceries is perfectly normal for us, but it made us forget which foods are actually good and healthy for us.

And so the majority of all food in shops and restaurants does not fit in at all with a healthy diet.

It is a colorful all sorts of different highly industrially processed products and canned goods that usually last for months or at least weeks.

An endless variety of chemical food additives, together with sophisticated technological processes, ensures that the things declared as food always look good and are therefore salable.

The meaning of healthy eating

But the purpose of nutrition is not just to get full as quickly as possible with the help of any mass, but often only for a short time and not infrequently at the price of discomfort and digestive problems, but to stay healthy, happy, and vital.

The temporary satiety value of a meal may be of importance in times of need. However, if we are not living in war or other crisis situations, then we should rather choose our food based on its vital substance content.

However, we only find vital substances such as vitamins, enzymes, and secondary plant substances in the quantity and quality required for our health in fresh and unprocessed food.

And these are the ones that really fill you up in the long term because you give your body everything it needs.

Declining health awareness

Since only a few people are still looking for fresh, genuine food and are satisfied with what appears to be a plentiful but pitiful range in supermarkets, public health leaves more and more to be desired.

Official guides are under the influence of the industry and are less concerned with the well-being of the consumer, so ultimately the beneficiaries are those who care neither about true prevention nor about true cures but seek outlets for drugs and therapies.
