Nutritionist Dispels a Popular Myth About Lard

Famous nutritionist Anastasia Yegorova explained what will happen to the human body if lard is eaten instead of other foods for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

People who suffer from problems with the cardiovascular system do not need to completely eliminate lard from their diet.

“Lard is as healthy as any other animal fat. Lard is close to vegetable oils in terms of essential fatty acids: oleic, linolenic, linoleic, palmitic – these acids are called vitamin F. Lard is high in vitamins A, D, E, and carotene,” Egorova said.

However, the expert warned that everything is good in moderation. If you eat a small piece of bacon once or twice a week, Egorova says, your body will thank you. But if you eat lard instead of food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, it will lead to health problems.
