Orange macaroons

  • 3 piece Eggs
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 25 g 1 sachet of orange peel / grated, sugared, flavored

  • 275 g Desiccated coconut
  • Wafers / 50 mm diameter

  • Preheat the oven to 175 ° C. Beat the eggs (3 pieces) and beat until frothy. Gradually add / stir in the sugar (150 g). Add / stir in the sachet of orange peel (25 g) and orange juice (2 tbsp). Finally stir in the desiccated coconut. Line a baking sheet with baking paper. Distribute the wafers on top and cover all of them with a heap of the dough (here 66 pieces / 2 trays!) Bake the tray on the middle rack in the preheated oven at 175 ° C for about 8 minutes. Turn off the oven, open the oven door a little with a wooden spoon and let the orange macaroons dry for another 15 minutes. Take out the tray and let it cool down completely. Proceed in the same way with the second sheet. Finally, fill the orange macaroons in cookie jars and cover the respective layers with baking paper.
