Preparing A Salad: Great Tips and Tricks

Preparing a salad is easy and can be done by any beginner. For you to succeed with every recipe, however, good preparation is important. In this article, we explain everything you need to know about this.

Prepare the salad: Wash well and drain

The salad is prepared quickly. However, the vegetables must be cleaned and washed well beforehand. Then the preparation begins.

  1. Remove any limp parts of the lettuce. Select only fresh leaves that are green and crisp. You should also not eat coarse stalks and stalks.
  2. Wash the leaves thoroughly with water. Make sure that all dirt particles, such as soil, are removed.
  3. Place the lettuce leaves in a colander or salad spinner. Drain the water well. You can also gently pat the lettuce leaves dry with a clean kitchen towel.

  • To prevent ingredients such as apples or celery from browning too quickly, add some lemon juice to these ingredients. This prevents the oxidation of light-colored foods.
  • When it comes to salad ideas, there are no limits to your imagination. For example, combine several types of lettuce, such as rocket and iceberg lettuce. Also, add olives or feta cheese. Tomatoes, peppers, radishes, carrots, and cucumbers add value to any salad and provide you and your family with vitamins.
