Preparing milk coffee: you should pay attention to this
- Choose a large cup for your latte.
- A latte is made from equal parts coffee and warm milk, i.e. 1:1. It is important to remember to heat the milk before mixing it with the coffee. Otherwise, your drink will only be lukewarm afterward and will quickly become undrinkable.
- Choose a suitable coffee. Some prefer their coffee milder than others.
- At the end, which milk you choose only makes a difference in calories.
- A latte is ideal for breakfast, but can also be served with a piece of cake in the afternoon.
Milk coffee abroad
- If you travel abroad, you should be aware that your latte is prepared a little differently there.
- The milk coffee is made in the same way in both Switzerland and France, but it is served in a bowl. A croissant is also preferably dunked in the latte there, while a piece of cake is eaten with it.
- In Spain, you will get your milk coffee with less milk than and instead of filter coffee, the Spaniards will use espresso.
- In Austria, you get your milk coffee prepared to like. However, the Austrians serve milk coffee with an additional layer of milk froth.
