Ingredients

  • 3 kg Fresh plums
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 1 tsp Butter-Vanilla baking flavor
  • 2 tsp Rum Flavoring
  • 500 g Preserving sugar 2: 1

Instructions

  • First wash the plums and drain them in a kitchen sieve, then core and cut into small pieces.
  • Put the finely chopped plums in a saucepan, add the preserving sugar and bring to a boil. In the meantime, have the sterile, cleaned jars ready,
  • When everything is boiling well, add the vanilla sugar and the butter - vanilla, let everything simmer for another 10 - 15 minutes while stirring several times. With the hand blender everything is fine or pureed as everyone likes. In between do a jelly test, when the jam thickens it is almost ready to be filled. Finally add the rum aroma and stir well again and you're done.
  • Now fill the finished plum jam into the sterile jars, clean the edges nicely again and screw the lid tightly on. Turn the glasses upside down, turn them over again after approx. 5 minutes and let them cool down.
